📚 NEW Report: Game-Based Learning is Driving Meaningful Literacy Gains in Michigan A recent research study conducted by Shoelace Learning in partnership with Michigan Virtual has demonstrated the powerful impact of gamified learning on reading proficiency. Over an eight-week pilot program, 42% of students who engaged consistently with Shoelace’s reading games achieved three or more months of reading growth—a significant acceleration in literacy development. In addition to measurable academic progress, teachers reported notable improvements in student confidence, comprehension, fluency, vocabulary, and overall engagement with reading. With reading proficiency continuing to be a challenge, these results highlight the potential of game-based learning as an effective, research-backed strategy to enhance literacy instruction. By integrating interactive gameplay with evidence-based reading practices, Shoelace Learning stands alone in providing a scalable, engaging solution to improve student outcomes.
