Yes, Dreamscape's content is aligned to Common Core Standards. In addition to this, we have a test prep currently aligned to a number of state specific standards to support educators and students in their preparations for state-based exams.
Though there is content for students in grades 1 and 2, we would recommend Dreamscape for students in grades 3-8. The grade 1 and 2 content in the game is minimal and is primarily intended for grade 3 (or above) students who are missing reading comprehension skills from those grades to catch up. It is not appropriate for learning how to read as the content is not focused on reading instruction, but reading comprehension.
Dreamscape is compatible on IOS and Android devices as well as web browsers. IOS
devices must have operating system 11.0 or higher installed to run Dreamscape. Android
devices must have operating system 5.1 or higher installed to play Dreamscape. For web
browsers, Dreamscape is compatible with Edge and Firefox, but we recommend that players
use Google Chrome to play Dreamscape.
Regarding device requirements, Dreamscape requires at least the following parameters to run:
CPU: 2.0 GHz,
RAM: 4.00 GB
At Shoelace, keeping your players' information safe and private is a priority. We do not sell or share Personal Identifiable Information (PII) to third parties. Your player's full first name and the first initial of their last name are used to generate an in-game username and to be displayed on parent & educator dashboards.
